​Oud, also known as agarwood, is a precious fragrance that gives perfumes a deep, warm, and woody note. It is formed in the heartwood of Aquilaria trees when they produce a resinous secretion due to fungal infection or injury. This resin is distilled to extract the coveted oud oil.
